Job Brief
We are seeking a skilled Fixed Wing Aircraft Flight Engineer to perform critical in-flight duties that ensure the successful execution of combat, reconnaissance, transport, and search and rescue missions. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in operating aircraft systems, including communications, detection, and defensive mechanisms. This role requires a proactive mindset and a commitment to safety, as well as strong technical skills to manage complex aircraft operations.
Responsibilities
- Operate aircraft communications and detection equipment, including satellite linkages and enemy communication jamming systems.
- Conduct thorough preflight, in-flight, and postflight inspections of onboard equipment to ensure operational readiness.
- Manage and maintain aircraft weapons and defensive systems for effective mission execution.
- Oversee in-flight refueling operations to support extended mission capabilities.
- Execute safety and emergency procedures to safeguard crew and aircraft during operations.
- Compute and verify weight and balance data for passengers, cargo, fuel, and special equipment.
- Conduct cargo and personnel drops as required during missions.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Flight Engineer or similar role in fixed-wing aircraft operations.
- Comprehensive knowledge of aircraft systems, including avionics, propulsion, and weaponry.
- Current certification as a Flight Engineer or relevant military qualifications.
- Strong understanding of aviation safety regulations and emergency protocols.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Effective communication skills for coordinating with crew and ground personnel.
- Willingness to work in varied and challenging environments.
