Job Brief
We are seeking a skilled Boiler Installer to join our team, responsible for constructing, assembling, maintaining, and repairing stationary steam boilers and associated boiler house auxiliaries. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of boiler systems and demonstrate proficiency in utilizing various hand and power tools. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with experience in aligning structural components, testing assembled vessels, and ensuring the safe operation of boiler systems.
Responsibilities
- Construct and assemble stationary steam boilers according to blueprints and specifications.
- Align structures or plate sections to create boiler frame tanks and vats.
- Utilize hand and power tools, including plumb bobs, levels, and turnbuckles, for precise assembly.
- Assist in testing and inspecting assembled boiler vessels for safety and operational efficiency.
- Direct the cleaning and maintenance of boilers and boiler furnaces.
- Inspect and repair boiler fittings, such as safety valves, regulators, and automatic-control mechanisms.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve boiler-related issues.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Boiler Installer or similar role in the boiler industry.
- Technical certification or relevant training in boiler installation and maintenance.
- Strong understanding of boiler systems, controls, and safety standards.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools required for boiler assembly and repair.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy equipment as needed.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations related to boiler operations.
