Job Brief
As an Automotive Electrician, you will be responsible for installing, diagnosing, and repairing various electrical systems and components in motor vehicles. This role requires a strong understanding of automotive electrical systems, including communications, sound, security, and navigation equipment. Responsibilities
- Install and configure electrical components and systems in vehicles, including audio, navigation, and security systems.
- Diagnose electrical issues using specialized tools and equipment to identify faults and malfunctions.
- Repair or replace defective wiring, connectors, and electronic components in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
- Conduct thorough inspections and tests on electrical systems to ensure functionality and safety compliance.
- Collaborate with automotive technicians and engineers to troubleshoot complex electrical problems.
- Keep up-to-date with the latest advancements in automotive technology and electrical systems.
- Document all repairs and installations accurately to maintain service records.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Automotive Electrician or in a similar role within the automotive industry.
- Strong knowledge of automotive electrical systems, wiring diagrams, and repair techniques.
- Familiarity with diagnostic tools and equipment, including oscilloscopes and multimeters.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., ASE certification in electrical systems) are preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or education in automotive technology is a plus.
