Job Brief
As a General Pediatrician, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing, treating, and preventing diseases and injuries in children from infancy through adolescence. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and assess the health status of pediatric patients.
- Diagnose and treat a wide range of childhood illnesses, injuries, and developmental disorders.
- Administer vaccinations and provide preventive care to promote child health.
- Educate parents and guardians on health maintenance, nutrition, and physical development.
- Maintain accurate patient records and document treatment plans in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Collaborate with nurses, specialists, and healthcare teams to deliver coordinated care.
- Monitor and manage chronic conditions, providing ongoing support and adjustments to treatment as needed.
- Stay updated with the latest research and trends in pediatric medicine to ensure high-quality care.
Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree from an accredited medical school.
- Completion of a residency in Pediatrics accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).
- Board certification in Pediatrics from the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP) or equivalent.
- Active state medical license and certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail in clinical assessments.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and staying abreast of pediatric health trends.
