As a Fire Claims Adjuster, you will play a crucial role in reviewing and settling insurance claims related to fire damage. Responsibilities

- Investigate claims by gathering relevant documentation, including policy details and loss information.
- Collaborate with legal counsel on complex claims that may necessitate litigation.
- Negotiate settlements with claimants while adhering to company standards and ethical practices.
- Maintain detailed records of all claim activities and corresponding documentation for audit purposes.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing claimant inquiries and concerns throughout the claims process.
- Stay updated with industry trends and regulatory changes affecting fire insurance claims.
- Prepare comprehensive reports and summaries of claims findings for management review.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, insurance, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a claims adjuster, with a focus on fire claims preferred.
- Strong knowledge of fire insurance policies, regulations, and claims processing.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail for accurate claim assessments.
- Effective negotiation skills to reach equitable settlements.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for interaction with claimants and legal counsel.
- Familiarity with claims management software and industry-standard tools.
- Relevant certifications, such as Associate in Claims (AIC) or Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC), are a plus.
