Job Brief
The Fighting Vehicle Infantryman plays a crucial role in ground combat operations, responsible for operating and maintaining various weapons systems, including rifles, machine guns, and mortars. Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain a variety of infantry weapons systems including rifles, machine guns, and mortars.
- Evaluate terrain and record topographical information to support operational planning.
- Conduct reconnaissance operations to gather intelligence and assess enemy positions.
- Direct and assess the need for supporting fire during ground combat operations.
- Locate, construct, and camouflage infantry positions and equipment to enhance tactical advantage.
- Place explosives and perform minesweeping activities to ensure safe movement through combat zones.
- Operate and maintain field communications equipment for effective coordination within the unit.
- Collaborate with team members to execute combat strategies and ensure mission objectives are met.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; military training preferred.
- Strong physical fitness and ability to perform in high-stress environments.
- Experience with infantry weapons systems and explosives handling.
- Familiarity with reconnaissance techniques and terrain analysis.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to operate field communication equipment.
