Job Brief
As a Combine Driver, you will operate and manage advanced agricultural machinery to facilitate essential farming operations, including planting, cultivating, and harvesting crops. Responsibilities
- Operate and control combine harvesters and other agricultural machinery for efficient crop harvesting.
- Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Assist in tilling soil, planting, and cultivating crops to maximize yield.
- Manage post-harvest processes, including husking, shelling, and threshing.
- Perform tasks related to livestock management, such as feeding and herding.
- Adhere to safety protocols and agricultural best practices while operating machinery.
- Monitor crop health and report any issues or abnormalities to management.
- Collaborate with farm management to plan and execute seasonal farming activities.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional agricultural training or certifications preferred.
- Proven experience operating combines and other heavy agricultural equipment.
- Strong mechanical skills with the ability to perform basic repairs and maintenance.
- Knowledge of crop production practices and agricultural equipment functionality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver’s license; CDL may be required depending on equipment used.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays during peak seasons.
