Job Brief
The Brazing Machine Tender is responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of welding, soldering, and brazing machines, including laser cutters and laser-beam systems. Responsibilities
- Set up and calibrate welding, soldering, or brazing machines to meet production specifications.
- Operate machines to join metal components through brazing, soldering, or welding processes.
- Inspect finished products for quality assurance, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on brazing and welding equipment.
- Monitor production processes and adjust machine settings as necessary to optimize efficiency.
- Document production data and maintain accurate records of machine operations.
- Collaborate with team members to improve production workflows and safety practices.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in welding or metal fabrication preferred.
- Proven experience operating welding, soldering, or brazing machinery in a manufacturing setting.
- Strong understanding of metal properties and the brazing process.
- Familiarity with safety standards and practices in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials as necessary.
- Certification in welding or related fields is a plus.
