As an Automobile and Property Underwriter, you will play a critical role in evaluating insurance applications to assess risks associated with automobile and property insurance. Responsibilities

- Utilize underwriting software and tools to analyze data and make informed decisions.
- Prepare detailed reports outlining the rationale for underwriting decisions.
- Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure compliance and best practices.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to explain underwriting decisions and policy conditions.
- Participate in training and development activities to enhance underwriting skills and knowledge.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in underwriting, specifically in automobile and property insurance.
- Strong understanding of underwriting principles, risk assessment, and insurance regulations.
- Proficiency in underwriting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical and decision-making skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Professional certifications such as Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) or Associate in Commercial Underwriting (ACU) are preferred.
