Job Brief
As a Yarn Dyer, you will be responsible for operating and managing machinery to bleach, wash, dye, and finish textiles, including synthetic and glass fibers. Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain dyeing machines, ensuring proper functioning and safety compliance.
- Bleach, wash, and dye yarns using various dyeing processes and techniques.
- Monitor dyeing processes to achieve desired color shades and finishes.
- Perform quality control checks on dyed yarns to ensure adherence to specifications.
- Mix dyes according to established formulas and specifications.
- Document production data and dyeing processes for quality assurance and traceability.
- Collaborate with production teams to optimize dyeing processes and improve efficiency.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations while handling chemicals and operating machinery.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in textile science or dyeing preferred.
- Proven experience as a Yarn Dyer or in a similar textile production role.
- Strong understanding of dyeing techniques, color matching, and finishing processes.
- Familiarity with machinery used in yarn dyeing and finishing.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and chemical handling protocols.
- Strong communication skills and ability to document processes accurately.
