As a Wage and Hour Investigator, you will play a crucial role in examining, evaluating, and investigating compliance with labor laws and regulations governing wage and hour standards. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough investigations of wage and hour compliance, ensuring adherence to applicable federal and state labor laws.
- Evaluate contracts and agreements for compliance with licensing and permitting requirements.
- Perform audits and inspections to assess organizational conformity with established labor standards.
- Prepare detailed reports on findings, including recommendations for corrective actions and compliance strategies.
- Collaborate with legal teams and other stakeholders to address compliance issues and enforce regulations.
- Stay updated on changes to labor laws, regulations, and industry best practices to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Provide training and guidance to organizations on wage and hour laws and compliance requirements.
- Assist in the development of policies and procedures to enhance compliance efforts within organizations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in compliance, regulatory affairs, or investigative roles, preferably in labor law contexts.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state wage and hour laws and regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for reporting and collaboration.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple investigations simultaneously.
- Proficient in using compliance management software and analytical tools.
- Certifications in compliance or related fields are a plus.
