Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate client needs, strengths, and barriers to employment.
  • Develop and implement individualized rehabilitation plans that include personal and vocational counseling.
  • Coordinate services and activities for residents in care and treatment facilities to promote skill development.
  • Facilitate training sessions and workshops to enhance job readiness and vocational skills.
  • Assist clients in job placement by identifying suitable employment opportunities and supporting the application process.
  • Monitor client progress and adjust rehabilitation programs as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals, employers, and community resources to provide comprehensive support.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of client interactions and program outcomes for reporting purposes.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Certification as a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of vocational rehabilitation principles, practices, and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with diverse clients.
  • Experience in case management, personal counseling, or job placement services.
  • Proficient in using assessment tools and rehabilitation planning software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for documentation and reporting.
