Responsibilities

- Negotiate contracts with farmers and suppliers to secure favorable terms and pricing.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with growers, brokers, and market operators.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate logistics to ensure timely delivery of products.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including quality assurance and sales, to align purchasing decisions with company goals.
- Evaluate and recommend new suppliers based on quality, price, and reliability.
- Prepare and present reports on market conditions and purchasing activities to management.
- Stay updated on industry regulations and standards related to tobacco sourcing and sales.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, business, or a related field.
- Proven experience in procurement, specifically within the agricultural or tobacco industries.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to assess market conditions.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for relationship building.
- Familiarity with supply chain management and logistics.
- Knowledge of industry regulations and standards related to tobacco.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and procurement software.
