Job Brief

As an Economic Geographer, you will study the interactions between physical and cultural phenomena on the Earth’s surface, focusing on the spatial implications of human activities. Your role will involve conducting comprehensive research on regional landforms, climates, soils, flora, and fauna, while also analyzing social characteristics, economic activities, and political organizations. Ideal candidates will possess strong analytical skills, a keen understanding of geographic information systems (GIS), and the ability to interpret data at various scales, from local to global.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Geography, Economic Geography, or a related field.
  • Proficient in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and spatial analysis tools.
  • Strong research and data analysis skills with a focus on quantitative and qualitative methodologies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information.
  • Familiarity with statistical software and data visualization techniques.
  • Experience in conducting field research and surveys is preferred.
  • Knowledge of current economic and environmental issues affecting geographic landscapes.
