Job Brief
As an Imam, you will play a crucial role in leading religious worship and providing spiritual guidance to the community. Responsibilities
- Lead daily and weekly prayers, including Friday congregational services.
- Deliver engaging sermons and religious lectures that resonate with community members.
- Provide spiritual counseling and guidance to individuals and families.
- Conduct rites of passage, including weddings, funerals, and naming ceremonies.
- Organize religious classes and educational programs to promote faith learning.
- Engage with the community to address spiritual and social needs.
- Encourage community involvement through outreach programs and initiatives.
- Support interfaith dialogue and foster relationships with other religious leaders.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Imam or in a similar religious leadership role.
- In-depth knowledge of Islamic theology, history, and jurisprudence.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with diverse groups.
- Ability to deliver clear and impactful sermons and teachings.
- Fluency in relevant languages, including Arabic and English, is preferred.
- Certification or degree in Islamic studies, theology, or a related field.
- Commitment to ethical practices and community service.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
