Job Brief
The High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS) Operator is responsible for targeting, firing, and maintaining advanced artillery systems to effectively destroy enemy positions, aircraft, and vessels in combat situations. This role requires a skilled operator to conduct inspections and preventive maintenance on weapons and ammunition, establish communications, and utilize weapons targeting and firing computer systems. Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS) to engage enemy targets effectively.
- Conduct thorough testing and inspection of ammunition, missiles, and related equipment.
- Perform preventive and routine maintenance on artillery systems and associated technologies.
- Establish and maintain reliable radio and wire communications for operational coordination.
- Utilize weapons targeting and launch computer systems for accurate fire missions.
- Participate in training exercises to enhance operational readiness and system proficiency.
- Collaborate with team members to develop strategies for effective artillery deployment.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and operational standards during all activities.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; military training in artillery operations preferred.
- Experience operating advanced artillery systems, including HIMARS and related technologies.
- Proficient in using computer systems for targeting, firing, and launch operations.
- Ability to perform mechanical troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective team collaboration.
- Willingness to work in high-stress environments and adapt to rapidly changing situations.
- Certification in artillery operations or related military qualifications is a plus.
- Physical fitness to meet the demands of field operations and equipment handling.
