Job Brief
The Hearing Aid Fitter is responsible for selecting, fitting, and servicing hearing aids for clients based on individualized assessments. This role involves administering and interpreting hearing tests, evaluating hearing instrument efficacy, and ensuring client satisfaction through tailored solutions. Responsibilities
- Select and fit appropriate hearing aids based on client needs and preferences.
- Administer and interpret comprehensive hearing tests to assess auditory capabilities.
- Evaluate the efficacy of hearing instruments and make necessary adjustments.
- Take ear impressions and prepare, design, and modify custom ear molds.
- Provide ongoing support and maintenance for hearing aids to ensure optimal performance.
- Educate clients on the proper use, care, and maintenance of hearing aids.
- Document client interactions and maintain accurate records of fittings and assessments.
- Stay updated on the latest hearing aid technology and industry advancements.
Requirements
- Certification as a Hearing Aid Specialist or equivalent licensure.
- Proven experience in fitting hearing aids and conducting hearing assessments.
- Strong technical knowledge of hearing aid technology and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective client interaction.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage client records.
- Proficiency in using audiometric testing equipment and software.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and education in audiology.
