Job Brief
As a Gas Plumber, you will be responsible for assembling, installing, altering, and repairing pipelines and pipe systems that transport water, steam, air, and other liquids or gases. You will also install heating and cooling equipment, as well as mechanical control systems. This role requires a skilled tradesperson with a strong understanding of plumbing systems and the ability to work effectively in various environments, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Assemble and install piping systems for gas and other liquids in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
- Inspect and test pipelines for leaks and malfunctions using appropriate techniques and tools.
- Alter existing piping systems to accommodate new installations or repairs.
- Install and maintain heating and cooling systems, ensuring optimal performance and energy efficiency.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to plan plumbing installations.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and compliance with building codes.
- Collaborate with other construction professionals, including electricians and HVAC technicians, to ensure integrated system functionality.
- Follow safety protocols and industry regulations to minimize risks and ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a plumber with a focus on gas systems installation and maintenance.
- Valid plumbing license or certification, with additional certification in gas fitting preferred.
- Strong understanding of plumbing codes, safety regulations, and best practices.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Proficient in using plumbing tools and equipment, including welding and cutting tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with clients and team members.
- Physical stamina and the ability to work in various environments, including confined spaces.
