Job Brief
The Foundation Director plays a critical role in leading and managing fundraising initiatives for nonprofit organizations or special projects. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies to achieve organizational goals.
- Coordinate and oversee fundraising campaigns, events, and activities to maximize donor engagement and contributions.
- Build and maintain relationships with donors, corporate partners, and community stakeholders.
- Research and identify new funding opportunities, including grants, sponsorships, and individual donations.
- Prepare and submit grant proposals, ensuring alignment with donor expectations and compliance with funding requirements.
- Monitor and report on fundraising progress, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Collaborate with board members and staff to align fundraising initiatives with organizational mission and vision.
- Oversee the management of donor databases and maintain accurate records of fundraising activities and communications.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, business administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in fundraising, development, or nonprofit management.
- Proven track record of successful fundraising initiatives and meeting financial targets.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong presentation abilities.
- Experience with grant writing and understanding of grant processes and regulations.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate staff and volunteers.
- Proficiency in fundraising software and donor management systems.
- Knowledge of current trends in philanthropy and nonprofit fundraising practices.
