Job Brief
As a Forest Firefighter, you will play a crucial role in controlling and extinguishing wildfires while responding to emergency situations that threaten life, property, and the environment. Responsibilities
- Control and extinguish wildfires using various firefighting techniques and equipment.
- Conduct fire prevention activities, including community education and hazard assessments.
- Respond to emergency situations, providing emergency medical services as needed.
- Participate in hazardous material response efforts and ensure safety protocols are followed.
- Engage in search and rescue operations during disasters, coordinating with other emergency services.
- Maintain and operate firefighting tools and equipment, performing routine inspections and maintenance.
- Document fire incidents and maintain accurate records of firefighting activities.
- Participate in training programs to enhance firefighting skills and knowledge of safety practices.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in fire science or emergency management is preferred.
- Completion of fire training programs and certifications (e.g., Wildland Firefighter Certification).
- Current CPR and First Aid certifications.
- Strong physical fitness and ability to work in strenuous conditions.
- Knowledge of firefighting techniques, equipment, and safety protocols.
- Experience in emergency response, search and rescue, and disaster management.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly under pressure.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to operate emergency vehicles.
