Job Brief

Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain fire engine pumps and associated equipment to effectively suppress fires.
- Respond to emergency incidents, including fires, medical emergencies, and hazardous material situations.
- Conduct fire prevention and safety inspections to identify potential hazards.
- Perform emergency medical services, providing critical care to victims as needed.
- Engage in search and rescue operations, ensuring the safety of individuals in peril.
- Document incidents and maintain accurate records of fire responses and equipment usage.
- Participate in ongoing training and drills to enhance firefighting skills and knowledge of emergency protocols.
- Collaborate with other emergency services and agencies to coordinate effective responses to disasters.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in fire science or emergency management preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and certification in Firefighter I and II, as well as EMT/Paramedic certification.
- Proven experience operating fire engines and pumps in emergency scenarios.
- Knowledge of firefighting techniques, safety protocols, and hazardous materials handling.
- Strong physical fitness and ability to perform under pressure in emergency situations.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to work effectively in a high-stress environment.
- Ability to analyze situations quickly and make sound decisions in crisis conditions.
