Job Brief
The Fiberglass Ski Maker is responsible for laminating layers of fiberglass on molds to create high-quality ski bodies and components. Responsibilities
- Prepare and clean molds for fiberglass application, ensuring optimal surface quality.
- Laminating fiberglass layers on molds to create ski bodies and components according to specifications.
- Mix and apply resin to fiberglass materials, following proper safety and handling procedures.
- Monitor curing processes and adjust techniques as necessary to maintain product integrity.
- Inspect finished products for defects, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
- Collaborate with design and engineering teams to optimize mold designs and production processes.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety regulations and best practices.
- Document production processes and report any discrepancies or issues to management.
Requirements
- Proven experience in fiberglass fabrication or composite materials manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of mold design, laminating techniques, and curing processes.
- Experience with hand tools and machinery used in fiberglass manufacturing.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and proper handling of hazardous materials.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality products.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in composite manufacturing preferred.
