Responsibilities
- Prepare molds for fiberglass application, ensuring they are clean and properly coated.
- Layer fiberglass and resin on molds according to specifications to create durable components.
- Monitor the curing process to ensure optimal quality and performance of finished products.
- Conduct inspections of fiberglass components for defects and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Utilize hand tools and machinery for cutting, trimming, and finishing fiberglass materials.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while following safety protocols and guidelines.
- Collaborate with engineering and design teams to enhance production efficiency and product quality.
- Document production processes and maintain accurate records of materials used and time spent on tasks.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Fiberglass Fabricator or in a similar role within the composites industry.
- Strong understanding of fiberglass laminating techniques and materials.
- Familiarity with safety standards and best practices for handling chemicals and tools.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Proficient in using hand tools and power equipment related to fiberglass fabrication.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications in fiberglass or composites preferred.
