Job Brief
As an Expeditionary Force Combat Skills Specialist, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining a variety of weapons and equipment essential for ground combat operations. This role requires hands-on experience with firearms, explosives, and field communications, as well as the ability to assess terrain and conduct reconnaissance missions. Ideal candidates will have strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the capability to work effectively in high-pressure environments.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain a range of weapons, including rifles, machine guns, mortars, and hand grenades, ensuring optimal performance during operations.
- Locate, construct, and camouflage infantry positions and equipment to enhance operational effectiveness and security.
- Evaluate terrain and record topographical information to assist in mission planning and execution.
- Operate and maintain field communications equipment, ensuring reliable communication across the team.
- Assess the need for supporting fire and direct artillery or air support as required.
- Place explosives and conduct minesweeping activities to ensure safe movement through operational areas.
- Participate in basic reconnaissance operations, gathering critical intelligence to inform tactical decisions.
Requirements
- Proven experience in ground combat operations, preferably within an expeditionary force environment.
- Familiarity with operating and maintaining military-grade weapons and communications systems.
- Strong understanding of terrain evaluation and topographical analysis techniques.
- Ability to assess situations quickly and make informed decisions under pressure.
- Certification in explosives handling and minesweeping is highly desirable.
- Strong physical fitness and the ability to work in diverse and challenging environments.
- Effective teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams.
