Job Brief
As an Environmental Health Technologist, you will play a critical role in promoting workplace safety by collecting and analyzing data on work environments to identify potential health hazards. You will implement and evaluate programs designed to mitigate chemical, physical, biological, and ergonomic risks to ensure compliance with industry standards. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments of workplace environments to identify potential health risks.
- Collect and analyze data related to chemical exposure, noise levels, and ergonomic practices.
- Develop and implement health and safety programs to minimize occupational hazards.
- Collaborate with occupational health and safety specialists to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations on findings and recommendations for management.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on health and safety best practices.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented safety programs.
- Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in environmental health and safety.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health, or related field.
- Proven experience in environmental health and safety assessments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations and environmental health standards.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Certification in industrial hygiene or safety management is a plus.
- Proficient in data collection and analysis software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
