Job Brief
As an Environmental Attorney, you will represent clients in various legal matters related to environmental law, including criminal and civil litigation. Responsibilities
- Represent clients in environmental litigation cases, including administrative hearings and court proceedings.
- Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents related to environmental compliance and transactions.
- Conduct legal research on environmental laws, regulations, and policies to provide informed advice.
- Advise clients on compliance with state and federal environmental regulations and laws.
- Collaborate with governmental agencies, environmental organizations, and stakeholders on legal matters.
- Prepare and present legal arguments in court, administrative hearings, and negotiations.
- Monitor and analyze developments in environmental law and policy to inform clients and colleagues.
- Provide strategic legal counsel on environmental risk management and sustainability initiatives.
Requirements
- Jurisdiction-specific law degree (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Active bar membership in the relevant state or jurisdiction.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in environmental law or related fields.
- Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, compliance issues, and litigation processes.
- Exceptional legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
- Proficiency in legal software and research tools.
- Certifications in environmental law or related disciplines are a plus.
