As an Environmental Attorney, you will represent clients in various legal matters related to environmental law, including criminal and civil litigation. Responsibilities

  • Represent clients in environmental litigation cases, including administrative hearings and court proceedings.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents related to environmental compliance and transactions.
  • Conduct legal research on environmental laws, regulations, and policies to provide informed advice.
  • Advise clients on compliance with state and federal environmental regulations and laws.
  • Collaborate with governmental agencies, environmental organizations, and stakeholders on legal matters.
  • Prepare and present legal arguments in court, administrative hearings, and negotiations.
  • Monitor and analyze developments in environmental law and policy to inform clients and colleagues.
  • Provide strategic legal counsel on environmental risk management and sustainability initiatives.

Requirements

  • Jurisdiction-specific law degree (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Active bar membership in the relevant state or jurisdiction.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in environmental law or related fields.
  • Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, compliance issues, and litigation processes.
  • Exceptional legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in legal software and research tools.
  • Certifications in environmental law or related disciplines are a plus.
