Job Brief
The Electronic Warfare Operator plays a critical role in military operations, responsible for the successful execution of combat, reconnaissance, transport, and search and rescue missions. This position requires expertise in operating advanced aircraft communications and detection systems, as well as maintaining onboard equipment. Successful candidates must demonstrate proficiency in jamming enemy communications, conducting thorough inspections, and executing safety protocols while ensuring mission success.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain aircraft communications and detection equipment to support mission objectives.
- Establish satellite linkages and implement jamming techniques to disrupt enemy communications.
- Conduct preflight, in-flight, and postflight inspections of all onboard electronic warfare systems.
- Manage and maintain aircraft weapons and defensive systems to ensure operational readiness.
- Execute in-flight refueling operations, ensuring safety and efficiency.
- Implement aircraft safety and emergency procedures to protect personnel and equipment.
- Compute and verify passenger, cargo, fuel, and emergency equipment weight and balance data.
- Conduct cargo and personnel drops with precision and adherence to protocols.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; advanced technical training in electronic warfare preferred.
- Experience operating aircraft communication and detection systems in a military environment.
- Proficiency in electronic warfare tactics and techniques, including jamming capabilities.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to conduct thorough inspections and maintenance.
- Knowledge of aircraft safety protocols and emergency procedures.
- Ability to work in high-pressure environments and make quick decisions.
- Valid pilot or crew member certification may be required based on specific mission requirements.
- Physical fitness and the ability to pass military medical standards.
