Job Brief
The Cardroom Manager oversees the daily operations of card games and gambling activities within a casino setting. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring compliance with gaming regulations, and providing exceptional customer service to enhance the guest experience. Responsibilities
- Directly supervise and coordinate the activities of cardroom staff to ensure a smooth gaming operation.
- Monitor card tables for compliance with gaming regulations and operational standards.
- Circulate among tables to observe gameplay, assist customers, and maintain a high level of service.
- Ensure all gaming stations and card games are adequately staffed and operational for each shift.
- Verify and pay off jackpots, ensuring accuracy and adherence to casino policies.
- Reset slot machines after payoffs and conduct minor repairs or adjustments to machines as needed.
- Plan and organize engaging activities and services for guests to enhance their casino experience.
- Train and mentor staff on gaming procedures, customer service, and compliance regulations.
- Prepare reports on cardroom performance, guest feedback, and staff development initiatives.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Cardroom Manager or in a similar supervisory role within a casino environment.
- In-depth knowledge of card games, gaming regulations, and casino operations.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to foster a collaborative work environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with guests and staff.
- Ability to handle cash transactions and maintain accurate records of financial activities.
- Certifications in gaming management or related fields are preferred.
- Proficiency in using casino management software and understanding technical aspects of gaming machines.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
