Job Brief
The Electrical Controls Assembler is responsible for assembling, modifying, and testing electrical and electronic equipment, including computers, test equipment, telemetering systems, electric motors, and batteries. Responsibilities
- Assemble electrical components and systems according to specifications and technical drawings.
- Modify existing electronic equipment to improve performance or adapt to new applications.
- Conduct testing and troubleshooting of assembled units to ensure functionality and compliance with safety standards.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment for assembly tasks.
- Document assembly processes, modifications made, and test results for quality assurance.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to clarify assembly instructions and resolve technical issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to promote safety and efficiency.
- Adhere to company policies, industry regulations, and safety protocols during assembly operations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree in electrical engineering or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience as an electrical assembler or in a similar role within the electronics industry.
- Strong knowledge of electrical components, systems, and wiring practices.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical documentation and schematics.
- Familiarity with industry-standard safety protocols and quality control measures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
