Job Brief

The Electrical Controls Assembler is responsible for assembling, modifying, and testing electrical and electronic equipment, including computers, test equipment, telemetering systems, electric motors, and batteries. This role requires a strong technical background, attention to detail, and proficiency in reading wiring diagrams and technical manuals. Ideal candidates will possess hands-on experience in electrical assembly and troubleshooting, ensuring high-quality production standards.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble electrical components and systems according to specifications and technical drawings.
  • Modify existing electronic equipment to improve performance or adapt to new applications.
  • Conduct testing and troubleshooting of assembled units to ensure functionality and compliance with safety standards.
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment for assembly tasks.
  • Document assembly processes, modifications made, and test results for quality assurance.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to clarify assembly instructions and resolve technical issues.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace to promote safety and efficiency.
  • Adhere to company policies, industry regulations, and safety protocols during assembly operations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree in electrical engineering or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience as an electrical assembler or in a similar role within the electronics industry.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical components, systems, and wiring practices.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical documentation and schematics.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard safety protocols and quality control measures.
