Job Brief
As an Electrical and Electronic Engineering Technologist, you will leverage your expertise in electrical and electronic theory to assist engineering teams in designing, building, repairing, and modifying electrical components, circuitry, and controls. Your role will involve hands-on application of technical knowledge to ensure the functionality and reliability of machinery and systems. Responsibilities
- Design and develop electrical and electronic circuitry and components to meet specified requirements.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to test and evaluate prototypes and existing systems.
- Conduct repairs and adjustments on electrical machinery and devices, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Utilize CAD software to create detailed schematics and layout plans for electrical systems.
- Document design processes, modifications, and test results for future reference and compliance audits.
- Assist in troubleshooting and diagnosing issues in electronic and electrical systems.
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in electrical engineering technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Electronic Engineering Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in electrical design, circuit analysis, and system integration.
- Familiarity with CAD tools and electrical simulation software (e.g., AutoCAD, MATLAB, PSpice).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate with engineering staff effectively.
- Knowledge of industry standards and safety regulations related to electrical engineering.
- Certification as an Engineering Technologist (CET) is a plus.
