Job Brief
The Wire Winding Machine Tender is responsible for the operation and maintenance of wire winding machinery used in the production of electrical components such as resistors, transformers, and various electrical instruments. This role requires a keen attention to detail, proficiency in machine setup and calibration, and the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues. Ideal candidates will have a solid understanding of electrical manufacturing processes and possess strong mechanical aptitude, ensuring efficient and high-quality production output.
Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and monitor wire winding machines to produce coils for electrical components.
- Ensure proper machine calibration and adjustment to meet production specifications.
- Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of winding machinery to minimize downtime.
- Inspect finished wire coils for quality assurance, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Maintain accurate production records and report any discrepancies to management.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize manufacturing processes.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Train and mentor junior staff on machine operation and best practices.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in manufacturing or related field is preferred.
- Proven experience operating wire winding machines or similar manufacturing equipment.
- Strong mechanical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and repair machinery.
- Familiarity with electrical components and their manufacturing processes.
- Ability to read and interpret technical schematics and production instructions.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime as needed.
