Job Brief
As an Electric Powerline Examiner, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity and safety of electrical power and distribution systems. Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain electrical cables and wires used in power distribution systems.
- Erect and maintain poles and light or heavy-duty transmission towers.
- Conduct thorough inspections of powerlines and associated equipment to identify issues or hazards.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards during all operations.
- Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to develop effective solutions for system improvements.
- Document findings and maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
- Respond promptly to emergency service calls and perform repairs as needed.
- Utilize specialized tools and equipment safely and effectively in all tasks related to powerline examination.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in electrical systems preferred.
- Proven experience as an Electric Powerline Examiner or in a similar role within the electrical industry.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, powerline construction, and maintenance practices.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices for electrical work.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to operate company vehicles safely.
- Physical fitness to perform manual labor and work at heights.
