- Prepare and submit comprehensive bid proposals for construction projects.
- Monitor project costs and provide updates to management throughout the construction process.
- Identify potential cost-saving opportunities and suggest improvements to project execution.
- Utilize cost estimation software and tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Stay updated on industry trends, pricing, and regulatory changes affecting construction costs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a cost estimator in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
- Proficiency in cost estimation software such as Sage Estimating, PlanSwift, or equivalent tools.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with an eye for detail.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills for effective collaboration.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Relevant certifications such as Certified Cost Estimator/Analyst (CCEA) are a plus.
