Job Brief

As a Clock Repair Technician, you will be responsible for repairing, cleaning, and adjusting the mechanisms of various timing instruments, including watches and clocks. This role requires a keen eye for detail, proficiency in diagnosing mechanical issues, and the ability to work with precision tools. Ideal candidates possess experience in horology and have a strong understanding of both quartz and mechanical timepieces.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electronic timing instruments, including watches and clocks.
  • Clean and lubricate clock movements to ensure optimal performance.
  • Adjust and calibrate timing mechanisms to maintain accurate timekeeping.
  • Replace defective components and perform routine maintenance on timepieces.
  • Utilize precision tools and equipment to perform intricate repairs.
  • Maintain detailed records of repairs, replacements, and customer interactions.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repair processes and options.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in horology technology.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Clock Repair Technician or similar role in horology.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency in using precision tools.
  • Knowledge of both quartz and mechanical timepieces, including common issues and repair techniques.
  • Certification or training in watchmaking or clock repair is preferred.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
