Job Brief
As a Clock Repair Technician, you will be responsible for repairing, cleaning, and adjusting the mechanisms of various timing instruments, including watches and clocks. Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electronic timing instruments, including watches and clocks.
- Clean and lubricate clock movements to ensure optimal performance.
- Adjust and calibrate timing mechanisms to maintain accurate timekeeping.
- Replace defective components and perform routine maintenance on timepieces.
- Utilize precision tools and equipment to perform intricate repairs.
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, replacements, and customer interactions.
- Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repair processes and options.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in horology technology.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Clock Repair Technician or similar role in horology.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency in using precision tools.
- Knowledge of both quartz and mechanical timepieces, including common issues and repair techniques.
- Certification or training in watchmaking or clock repair is preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Strong communication skills for customer interactions and consultations.
