Job Brief
The Claims Analyst plays a critical role in evaluating and processing insurance claims efficiently. Responsibilities
- Review and analyze settled claims for compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Assess and determine the validity of claims, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
- Collaborate with legal counsel on complex claims requiring litigation or legal review.
- Negotiate settlements for insurance claims as necessary.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of claims activities and outcomes.
- Provide insights and recommendations for improving claims processes and policies.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to claims management.
- Assist in training and mentoring junior staff on claims analysis procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in claims analysis, insurance, or a related area.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in claims management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations governing insurance claims.
- Professional certification in claims management (e.g., AIC, CPCU) is a plus.
