Job Brief
The Christian Education Minister plays a vital role in nurturing the spiritual growth of congregants through the development and coordination of impactful religious education programs. This position requires a strong background in theology and education, as well as excellent communication and leadership skills. The ideal candidate will have experience in program design, outreach initiatives, and counseling, providing guidance on marital, health, financial, and religious matters to support the community’s needs.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and evaluate educational programs for all age groups within the church community.
- Coordinate outreach efforts to promote participation in religious education activities.
- Provide counseling and support to individuals and families facing marital, health, financial, and spiritual challenges.
- Engage with church members to assess their educational needs and interests.
- Train and mentor volunteers and staff involved in educational and outreach programs.
- Facilitate workshops, seminars, and retreats that enhance spiritual development.
- Collaborate with other church ministries to integrate educational initiatives.
- Maintain records of program participation and outcomes to measure effectiveness.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Theology, Religious Studies, Education, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in church ministry or religious education.
- Strong understanding of Christian doctrine and ability to apply it in educational settings.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in program development and evaluation techniques.
- Experience in providing counseling or guidance in a ministry context.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Familiarity with digital tools and platforms for virtual education and outreach.
