Job Brief
As a Chemical Treatment Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining equipment that controls chemical reactions and processes for industrial or consumer products. This role requires a foundational understanding of chemical processes, strong attention to detail, and the ability to monitor equipment performance. Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor chemical processing equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Adjust equipment settings to control chemical reactions and maintain product quality.
- Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting on devulcanizers, steam-jacketed kettles, and reactor vessels.
- Record and analyze production data to identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards during chemical processing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize process efficiency and product yield.
- Train new operators on equipment usage, safety protocols, and operational procedures.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree in chemical technology or related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a Chemical Treatment Operator or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of chemical processes, safety standards, and equipment operation.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with computer systems for monitoring and reporting production data.
- Certification in chemical handling and safety procedures is an advantage.
