Job Brief

As a Chemical Treatment Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining equipment that controls chemical reactions and processes for industrial or consumer products. This role requires a foundational understanding of chemical processes, strong attention to detail, and the ability to monitor equipment performance. Ideal candidates will have experience with devulcanizers, steam-jacketed kettles, and reactor vessels, coupled with excellent problem-solving skills and a commitment to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor chemical processing equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Adjust equipment settings to control chemical reactions and maintain product quality.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting on devulcanizers, steam-jacketed kettles, and reactor vessels.
  • Record and analyze production data to identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards during chemical processing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize process efficiency and product yield.
  • Train new operators on equipment usage, safety protocols, and operational procedures.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree in chemical technology or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Chemical Treatment Operator or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of chemical processes, safety standards, and equipment operation.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with computer systems for monitoring and reporting production data.
  • Certification in chemical handling and safety procedures is an advantage.
