Job Brief
As a Cement Patcher, you will play a vital role in the finishing of concrete surfaces, ensuring durability and aesthetic appeal. Responsibilities
- Smooth and finish surfaces of poured concrete using hand and power tools.
- Align forms for sidewalks, curbs, and gutters to ensure proper structure and drainage.
- Patch voids and imperfections in concrete surfaces for optimal quality.
- Utilize saws to cut expansion joints in concrete to prevent cracking.
- Inspect completed work for quality assurance and compliance with specifications.
- Collaborate with project managers and other team members to meet project deadlines.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times on job sites.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in concrete work is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Cement Patcher or similar role in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of concrete finishing techniques and tools.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
- Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor in various weather conditions.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver’s license may be required.
- OSHA safety certification preferred.
