Job Brief
As a Cardiac/Vascular Sonographer, you will be responsible for producing high-quality ultrasonic recordings of internal organs, particularly focusing on cardiac and vascular structures, to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating patients. This role requires a strong understanding of ultrasound technology, along with proficiency in operating specialized equipment. Responsibilities
- Perform echocardiograms and vascular ultrasound examinations to assess heart and blood vessel health.
- Utilize advanced ultrasound equipment to capture high-resolution images of cardiac and vascular anatomy.
- Analyze and interpret ultrasound data to aid in the diagnosis of cardiovascular conditions.
- Prepare and maintain accurate patient records and documentation of ultrasound findings.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to discuss findings and recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and quality assurance standards in ultrasound procedures.
- Educate patients on the ultrasound procedure and provide support throughout the examination.
- Stay updated on advancements in ultrasound technology and best practices in cardiac and vascular imaging.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree or higher in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field.
- Current certification as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT).
- Proficient in the use of ultrasound imaging equipment and related software.
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy, particularly the cardiovascular system.
- Excellent communication skills for patient interaction and collaboration with medical staff.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Previous experience in a clinical setting preferred, ideally with a focus on cardiac and vascular imaging.
