Job Brief

The C 40A Crew Chief plays a critical role in supervising and coordinating the activities of air crew members in support of operational missions. This position requires extensive experience in aviation operations, strong leadership skills, and a thorough understanding of aircraft systems. The C 40A Crew Chief ensures adherence to safety protocols, oversees crew performance, and fosters a collaborative team environment to achieve mission objectives efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily operations of air crew members, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
  • Coordinate flight preparations, including pre-flight checks and crew briefings.
  • Perform technical inspections and troubleshooting of aircraft systems prior to and during flights.
  • Lead crew training sessions to enhance skills and maintain proficiency in aircraft operations.
  • Monitor crew performance and provide feedback to enhance operational effectiveness.
  • Ensure proper documentation and reporting of flight operations and maintenance activities.
  • Maintain effective communication with ground control and other aviation personnel during flight operations.
  • Manage crew schedules and deployments in alignment with operational requirements.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; relevant aviation certification or military experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in aviation operations or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of aircraft systems, maintenance procedures, and flight operations.
  • Proven leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to manage diverse teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in using aviation-related software and technology.
  • Valid pilot’s license or aircraft maintenance certification is a plus.
