Job Brief
The Blackjack Pit Boss oversees the operations of gaming tables, ensuring exceptional service and compliance with gaming regulations. With a focus on customer satisfaction, this role involves supervising dealers and staff, managing game flow, and addressing player inquiries. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in casino operations, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to creating a positive gaming environment.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate activities of dealers and staff in assigned gambling areas, ensuring adherence to all gaming regulations.
- Circulate among tables to monitor operations, ensuring coverage and providing assistance as needed.
- Verify and pay off jackpots, ensuring accuracy and compliance with casino policies.
- Reset slot machines after payoffs; perform minor repairs or adjustments, and recommend machines for removal if necessary.
- Plan and organize activities and events to enhance guest experiences within the casino.
- Resolve customer complaints and inquiries effectively, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Train and mentor new staff members on gaming procedures and customer service standards.
- Maintain an accurate inventory of gaming supplies and report any discrepancies to management.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in hospitality or gaming management preferred.
- Proven experience as a Pit Boss, Floor Supervisor, or similar role within the casino industry.
- Strong knowledge of blackjack rules, gaming regulations, and casino operations.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage a diverse team.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle customer complaints professionally.
- Familiarity with casino management software and point-of-sale systems.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
