Job Brief
The Bio Mechanical Engineer is responsible for applying principles of engineering, biology, and biomechanics to design, develop, and evaluate innovative biological and health systems. Responsibilities
- Design and develop biomedical devices, including artificial organs and prostheses, using advanced engineering principles.
- Conduct research and experiments to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of medical products.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate biomechanical knowledge into product development processes.
- Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software to create detailed technical drawings and specifications.
- Implement testing protocols and analyze data to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to design processes, testing results, and regulatory submissions.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in biomedical engineering and technology.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for existing biomedical devices and systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
- Proven experience in biomechanical design and development, with a strong portfolio of relevant projects.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and simulation tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data.
- Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements in the biomedical industry.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills for effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
- Certifications in biomedical engineering (e.g., Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician) are a plus.
