Job Brief
As an Auto Suspension and Steering Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing, adjusting, repairing, and overhauling automotive suspension and steering systems. Responsibilities
- Diagnose mechanical issues related to suspension and steering systems using advanced diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Perform adjustments, repairs, and overhauls on various vehicle suspension components, including shocks, struts, and springs.
- Inspect and test vehicle steering mechanisms for proper operation and alignment.
- Replace worn or damaged parts and ensure all installations meet manufacturer specifications.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, services performed, and parts used.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance repair processes and improve work efficiency.
- Stay updated with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in automotive repair.
- Educate clients on maintenance practices and provide recommendations for vehicle care.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an automotive technician program is preferred.
- Proven experience as an Auto Suspension and Steering Mechanic or similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of automotive suspension and steering systems.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment for vehicle assessment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid automotive repair certification (ASE certification is a plus).
- Excellent communication skills to explain technical issues to clients effectively.
