Job Brief
As an Astronautical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, constructing, and testing advanced aerospace systems including aircraft, missiles, and spacecraft. This role requires a strong foundation in engineering principles, alongside experience in materials science and research methodologies. Responsibilities
- Design and develop aerospace systems, including spacecraft and missile technologies, using advanced engineering principles.
- Conduct research and testing to evaluate material performance and adaptability in aerospace applications.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to refine designs and optimize performance metrics.
- Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software for modeling and simulation of aerospace components.
- Analyze test data and results to recommend enhancements in design and testing protocols.
- Prepare technical reports and documentation for project stakeholders and regulatory compliance.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes affecting aerospace engineering.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Astronautical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Proven experience in aerospace design and testing with a focus on spacecraft and missile systems.
- Strong proficiency in CAD software and simulation tools; familiarity with MATLAB and other engineering software.
- Knowledge of materials science as it relates to aerospace applications.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration across engineering teams.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or certification in aerospace engineering is a plus.
