I have been using Shelly for tax preparation for about 25 years and you can’t find anyone more caring, knowledgeable, and accommodating.Her staff has been great as well. When I moved to California 20 years ago I would not use anyone else and either flew to NY or sent my information into her. Her fees are fair for the excellence in the work done. Anyone contemplating using SJ Associates will not go wrong.

All of the old positive reviews are from people who have been dealing with only the creator of the company for over 2 decades. In recent years, she has become inaccessible and the company’s service quality has declined drastically, while their fees have increased astronomically. My bank accounts suffered from fraud after they experienced a security breech and they did nothing to apologize or make up for it. The recent employee turnover has been confusing and disruptive, and the new CFO seems to have high anxiety and odd fits of rage. Unfortunately, everyone’s lack of clear communication, integrity or honesty has forced me to look elsewhere for my tax services.

I’ve had my taxes done by Shelly for about 30 years. She is always up to date on tax changes and generally reminds us each year about things to consider for the coming year. We think SJ Associates is great!
