Best recruiting experience I’ve had in my career. The Oxenham Group approach was genuine, transparent, organized, and easy. The recruiter took the time to review my profile and let me know the specific details that he thought made me a good fit for the role in his initial outreach. His message definitely set him apart from other recruiters. He followed up with a thoughtful conversation. The recruiter communicated with me the entire time throughout the interview process. I always knew what to expect which made it so much easier. I should mention that I was sick with covid during a chunk of it as well. Even when he didn’t have any news, he still checked in! The entire process resulted in an offer. Just above and beyond in my opinion.

Oxenham completely turned every opinion I’ve had about recruiters on its head. I’ve had the displeasure of working with many recruiters in the past. The ‘normal’ experience is someone who generically looked at your profile with little depth, then cold called you about an opportunity you’d likely never care about. I’ve never felt more care taken in a recruiting process. Communication started regarding something I had on my GitHub profile that didnt even relate to coding: music. You could tell immediately the guys at Oxenham wanted to get to know you. From there, even when I expressed uncertainty about the role, they were supportive and made it clear that they were there to help me find a role I loved. There wasn’t pressure, and honestly the void of pressure from them that I’m used to feeling almost gave me the “too good to be true” feeling. In the end, I took the position and whenever I’m in town I try to sync up and grab a drink with Steve or texting Pat about life and family. I recommend working with these guys, and likely won’t recommend any other recruiting firm for the span of my career.

This is one of the best / smoothest hiring experiences that I had in my career so far.
