I experienced significant issues with HireQuest’s Ocala, Florida branch. I arrived for a scheduled 11:30 AM interview, only to be asked to wait in my car for an additional 30 minutes. Following the interview, I was given an onboarding email, an address to report to for work, but no information regarding the pay rate or job description.
Upon arriving at the designated work location at 7:00 AM, I discovered that management had not been informed of my arrival. I waited until 8:15 AM and was then told there was no work available. This resulted in wasted time, fuel (over half a tank), and money.
After calling the HireQuest Ocala office, I was instructed to wait in my car for a callback. I have now waited for two hours, and they are not answering their phone. I was initially told I would be paid for one hour of waiting, but I now expect to be compensated for two hours. This level of disorganization is unacceptable. I have also left messages with corporate headquarters.
