The place was empty so that was nice! We sat down and ordered our food to find out the brisket was sold out. Our hearts were broken because we drove pretty far to dine there for my birthday. It was approximately 3:30pm.
The server did apologize. She said they received a super big order and ran out. 😖 That’s ok. I ordered the chicken tacos and chicken wings. I asked if I could get all flats and she said they didn’t do that anymore. I totally understand. No biggie, but guess what?! When my order arrives, I got one flat and 5 drums. I was not happy to say the least.
I told the waitress. She said oh no, let me ask if they can at least give you a couple more flats. She arrived back and said you got the last 6 wings period. The winds didn’t look that great. It was really dried out and almost burnt looking. I tried to eat it but it just didn’t taste right.
The server was really nice and she took the wings off the bill. My tacos were tasty but the chips were burnt. My partner ordered the breakfast hamburger. He liked it, but make sure you ask for hard eggs unless you like runny eggs. His tatter tots were burnt too 😖 The potato salad was hard so I didn’t eat them. We ended up just taking it home and throwing them away.
I’m sure it was just an off day. I may go back to try the brisket, but then again I just don’t know if I want to make that drive to be disappointed again.
