Job Brief
The Youth Program Director will plan, direct, and coordinate activities for a social service program or community outreach organization aimed at empowering young individuals. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective youth programs that align with community needs and organizational goals.
- Oversee the program’s budget, ensuring financial accountability and sustainability.
- Direct and mentor a team of social workers, counselors, and volunteers to foster a supportive environment for participants.
- Establish policies and procedures regarding participant involvement, program requirements, and benefits.
- Engage with community stakeholders to promote program visibility and collaboration.
- Evaluate program effectiveness through data collection and analysis, making improvements as needed.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and best practices in youth services.
- Facilitate training and professional development for staff to enhance program delivery.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Education, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in program management, preferably in a youth-focused setting.
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills with a proven track record in team management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
- Proficient in budget management and financial reporting.
- Knowledge of community resources and social service programs for youth.
- Experience in data analysis and program evaluation methodologies.
- Certification in relevant areas such as youth development or social services is a plus.
