Job Brief
We are seeking a dedicated Wood Tile Installation Helper to support skilled masons and tile setters in various construction projects. The ideal candidate will assist in the installation of wood tiles, performing essential duties that require less skill but are crucial for a successful installation process. This role demands a proactive approach, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced construction environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist brickmasons, blockmasons, and tile and marble setters with material handling and preparation.
- Supply and hold tools and materials during the installation process to ensure efficiency.
- Clean and maintain work areas, tools, and equipment to promote safety and organization.
- Mix, pour, and spread mortar or other adhesives as directed by skilled tradespeople.
- Follow instructions from supervisors to facilitate smooth workflow and project completion.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and regulations while on job sites to prevent accidents.
- Learn and develop skills related to tile installation, including layout and design techniques.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in construction or a related field is an advantage.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions.
- Familiarity with tools and equipment used in tile installation.
- Strong communication skills and ability to follow instructions effectively.
- Basic understanding of safety procedures in a construction environment.
- Willingness to learn and grow within the masonry and tile installation trade.
